We can eat the recommended calories for weight loss and get smaller on the scale, but the fastest way we can lose fat is by eating the proper ratios of Carbohydrates, Proteins, and Fats. If the body is not being fed enough protein, it will eat it's own muscle and over time the metabolism will slow and a plateau hits.
